COURTENAY, B.C-The RCMP says speed is being investigated as a factor in a serious crash in Courtenay.
The two-vehicle collision happened around 11:40am yesterday morning in the 4700 block of Island Highway North. The RCMP says a northbound vehicle clipped another, left the road, and then hit a tree.
A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Courtenay, had to be airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. As the investigation continues the RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to give them a call.
