CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-Parking on Pier Street is changing.
Campbell River City Council has decided to cut the time limit for parking there from two hours to one. The decision was made at Monday’s council meeting.
This comes after debate over the issue that included some people wanting to see the time limit increased. Council made its decision after getting a report back from city staff.
The change comes with a review of parking enforcement in the area which includes examining the cost of beefing up patrols. Although city staff have been told to begin changing the signs there’s no timeline on when the one-hour parking will take effect.
