All told about 600 people came out to a Campbell River business event that connected locals to the company building the John Hart Journey Station replacement, says BC Hydro spokesman Stephen Watson.
He says individual trades people are local contractors and companies were able to connect with SNC-Lavalin over the two day event.
Watson says this idea is to get locals working on the project.
Right now there is permitting work being done and Watson says in the summer the tree clearing and site preparation will start.
