Wounded Warrior Run makes Campbell River stop

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The Wounded Warrior Run has made its way to Campbell River.

Wounded Warriors is an organization dedicated to helping ill and injured veterans, first responders and their families. The annual run raises money for post-traumatic stress disorder programs. It’s a relay that covers the length of Vancouver Island in just seven days.

This year the team includes current serving military members, reservists, veterans, First Nations, police officers, firefighters, paramedics and civilians. The goal is to raise $100,000.

The Wounded Warriors Run leaves Campbell River today to continue its journey to Victoria, where it’s expected to arrive on Sunday. You can learn more about it at this website.
