CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C-School District 72 has adopted its amended 2017/2018 budget. It was approved at the school board’s meeting on Tuesday.
It’s an adjustment from the preliminary budget passed in May of last year. The district says the amended budget updates things like expenses, revenue, and salaries, which aren’t 100 per cent accurate when the preliminary budget is passed. They all get adjusted to reflect the actual numbers.
The total budget revenue comes out roughly to $65,500,000, while the budgeted costs are about $68,500,000. That leaves a deficit of about $3,000,000 for the year.
