CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-An investigation into a house fire is underway.
Campbell River Firefighters were called to the Seamist Drive home in the Stories Beach area yesterday morning around 11:00am. Deputy Chief Kelly Bellefleur says when they arrived crews found the home engulfed in flames.
Bellefleur says they had to battle the blaze from the outside because the building had become too unstable to enter. He added the home is a “complete loss”.
Although no one was home at the time it’s believed a family pet died in the fire. The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
