District 72 looking to add five “early dismissal days” to school calendar

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-School District 72 is looking for feedback on potential school calendars for next year, and the year after. The district is looking to introduce five early dismissal days.

On those days students would go home 90 minutes early. The district says teachers would use that time to work together to look at ways to improve learning within their schools.

To make up for that time one of the Ministry of Education’s allowed non-instructional days would be eliminated. You can find copies of the proposed calendars at the School District 72 website and give your thoughts on them until March 15th by emailing [email protected].
