CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The Campbell River Hospital Foundation is running a couple of fundraisers throughout March.
They’re called Carihi Cares and Pizza with a Purpose.
For Carihi Cares students, parents, teachers, or anyone interested can buy a heart for a minimum donation of a dollar that will then be put on display in the school’s foyer. The donations will go towards buying a baby scale for the hospital’s Maternity Department.
As for Pizza with a Purpose, Pizza Hut is running the campaign for the second year. It’s donating 10 per cent of all sales this month to the foundation to go towards buying “lifesaving hospital equipment”. The campaign raised $11,000 last year.
