City appoints two new members to Board of Variance

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The city has announced two new Board of Variance members. They’re Gerrit Keizer and Michael Naish.

That’s the board you talk to when you’re looking for a minor variance from Campbell River’s Zoning Bylaw. Typically that comes from people like homeowners or developers when total compliance with the bylaw would result in some kind of hardship. Five members sit on the independent panel who the city says will typically visit a site before making a decision.

Keizer and Naish’s terms on the board run from April 1st of this year to March 31st, 2021. You can learn more about the city’s advisory committees and commissions and other volunteer opportunities at its website.
