CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-Campbell River’s Emergency Support Services Team is looking for volunteers. There’s going to be an open house tonight for anyone interested.
The team, which is made up of about 50 people, helps evacuees in the event of an emergency. Emergency Social Services Director Kathryn Alexander says anyone who is at least 16-years-old can volunteer with the Emergency Support Services Team.
Tonight’s open house is happening on Monday at the Campbell River Search and Rescue, 261 Larwood Road, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
