Homeless count to include Campbell River

VICTORIA, B.C.-The B.C. Government says it’s going to be doing a homeless count across the province, which includes Campbell River.

The count, which is going to be done in up to 12 communities, will be used to help the government build B.C.’s Homelessness Action Plan. That plan is going to focus on permanent housing and services.

The government says the counts will give it vital information like demographics and what services the homeless need. They’ll also create a benchmark that progress can be measured against. The count in Campbell River is happening on April 13th.
