Cree-Metis Elder Landell speaking at library again for Indigenous Voices

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.– The Vancouver Island Regional Library’s Indigenous Voices initiative is coming back to Campbell River.

Susan Landell will be again speaking on Metis culture. She’s a Cree-Metis Elder, a Sun Dancer and a Pipe Carrier, and also sits on several Elder Advisory Boards in Campbell River.

Landell first spoke at the library back in February. This time around she’ll be sharing her knowledge of Smudge Ceremonies and the four sacred medicines.

VIRL says Indigenous Voices is part of its efforts to promote reconciliation. Landell will be speaking next Thursday afternoon at 3:30pm. Call the Campbell River Library at 250-287-3655 to register if you’d like to go.
