CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North is celebrating today.
It’s kicking off Phase 2 of the Hilchey Road Build. The Hilchey Road Build is an 11-home project. Two of the homes were finished last year and another two will be finished this year with families set to move in come late fall.
Mayor Andy Adams will be speaking and the public is invited to attend. Rather than a traditional groundbreaking ceremony where shovels are put into the ground, nails will be hammered into a board to celebrate the beginning of the construction season.
It’s happening from 10:00am to 11:00am at 477 Hilchey Road.
