The Minister of International Trade was in Campbell River talking about the Canadian new free trade agreement with Korea.
Ed Fast says it’s taken over 9 years to get the agreement finished, and says there are big benefits for local industry, specifically in aquaculture.
Fast says this is the first free trade agreement between Canada and a country in the Asia Pacific region, and will be a gateway for Canadian businesses to work in that area.
