Two Port Hardy paramedics have gotten the Stork Award after helping deliver a baby in their ambulance back on December 8th.
Svetlana Larson, an emergency medical responder based in Port Hardy, says she, her partner and a doctor were transporting a woman in active labor from Port Hardy hospital to Port McNeill hospital.
Larson says everybody was calm and both mum and the baby girl that was born were healthy.
She says it was a great experience.
Larson and her partner have gotten Stork Awards for their efforts.
