Campbell River RCMP File 2015-1017
On Saturday January 24, 2015 at 10:03 pm, Campbell River RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of Quinsam Road.  The caller could hear several loud bangs which sounded like shot gun blasts or explosions.
Again police made patrols but were not able to locate the cause of the noise.   More reports of loud banging were reported north of town, and again the source of the noise was not identified.  Inquiries were made with the John Hart Dam Project to determine if the noise was blasting or construction work, however police were told they were not working at that time.
It is unknown what the cause of the loud bangs were.  If you have any information about this, please call Campbell River RCMP at (250) 286-6221 or if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go to Crime Stoppers on-line.
