CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C- Brewster Lake Road closures start this month.
BC Hydro will be performing annual maintenance on three spillway gates at the John Hart dam.
Brewster Lake Road, which runs across the John Hart dam, will be closed Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The work will run from June 19 to July 4, excluding statutory holidays.
According to a press release from BC Hydro, the timing is during the summer when water abundance in the system is at its lowest.
BC Hydro said the work is to maintain spillway gate reliability.
Advance road closure signage is being placed on both sides of the dam along the Brewster Lake Road.
