Bus 2 Work Week kicks off today

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Starting today until Friday, September 28th, BC Transit is celebrating Bus 2 Work Week in partnership with the City of Campbell River.

Throughout the week, there will be Scratch-and-Win bookmarks available in every bus. According to a release, BC Transit says the bookmarks will give transit customers a chance to win a monthly pass for Campbell River transit. Customers can scratch the bookmark to see if they win a pass.

Jonathon Dyck, the media spokesperson for BC Transit, says this is the transit authority’s way of saying thank you to regular customers, as well as a way to encourage others to take transit.

“People are at the centre of what we do, and our customers are at the centre of what we do and we’re really excited to share this with them and to be able to celebrate transit service with our customers.” Dyck said.

The bookmarks are available at every bus throughout the day, while supplies last. Ask the bus operator to receive one.
