December blood clinic in Campbell River a success

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Campbell River residents’ generosity flows in abundance.

According to Canadian Blood Services territory manager Gayle Voyer, the three-day blood clinic in Campbell River was a huge success. Each day was busy with appointments and walk-ins.

The clinic not only beat the target donation, it also surpassed the numbers.

“We just want to say thank you to the Campbell River community… we really appreciate that many people came out from the Campbell River area and they helped to ensure that we have the blood donations that we need to ensure that patient needs are met this holiday season,” Voyer said.

Overall, Campbell River blood donations were at 300.

Voyer said there will be another blood clinic for Campbell River in February.

Residents interested in donating blood can register and book an appointment through the Canadian Blood Services website.

The next blood clinic is set for February 26th – 28th at the Campbell River Community Centre.
