QUADRA ISLAND, B.C. – Due to high winds, BC Ferries has cancelled some sailings between Quadra Island (Heriot Bay) and Cortes Island (Whaletown).
The MV Tachek’s run leaving Cortes at 1:50 p.m. was cancelled this afternoon.
The 3:05 p.m. departure out of Quadra Island has also been cancelled.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so,” said BC Ferries in a web notice.
“We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of this cancellation.”
