CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Today’s heavy rain is causing some flooding in town.
Nunns Creek is causing some flooding at 16th Avenue, between Ironwood and Maple Streets.
Barricades are in place in the area, and the city is advising drivers to take alternative routes.
In a social media post, the City of Campbell River is also advising residents to stay away from areas close to the waterfront as the strong waves can throw driftwood and logs inland.
According to the post, city crews are monitoring areas that may temporarily flood and will reroute traffic as necessary.
If you happen to see an area that needs attention, please contact Dogwood Operations Centre at 250-286-4033.
