CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – A few areas around Quadra Island are without power.
Currently, power is knocked out in the following areas:
- North of Heriot Bay Road and East of Cutter Road
- North of Green Road, south of Rudder Road, east of the ferry terminal, and west of Nole Road
- West of Carrington Bay Road, north of Whaletown Road, and south of Sawmill Road
The strong winds knocked trees over and downed power lines, which caused the outages. B.C. Hydro has assigned crews to work in the areas to restore power.
Approximately 260 customers are affected.
There is no word yet on when power will be restored.
