Those waging war against invasive plants locally got some good news.
The Provincial Government has just given the Coastal Invasive Species Committee an additional $56,000 in funding.
Executive Director Rachelle Mcelroy says some of that money will be funneled to work in the Strathcona Regional District.
She says the focus is on getting rid of knotweed and giant hog weed.
