Campbell River school board considers broadcasting meetings via video

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – School District 72 might start doing video broadcasts of future board meetings.

The Mirror reported that School District 72 superintendent Jeremy Morrow put it in the agenda after a parent raised the idea with him.

Some of the trustees agreed it may be useful to broadcast school board meetings as a way for the community to keep up with the issues the board discusses.

The board also brought up that broadcasting the meetings will add more responsibilities for staff, and costs might be high.

Trustee John Kerr made a motion to look at the logistics of broadcasting the meetings, time and resource permitting.
