One conservation group says new research shows escaped farmed Atlantic salmon are being found up area streams and river.
Will Soltau from Living Oceans says the research is based on snorkel studies done in the late 1990s.
Colleen Dane from the BC Salmon Farmers Association says colonization by Atlantic salmon simply isn’t happening.
Dane says in the past year only 20 salmon in total escaped from area farms.
