“Average” flu season winds up

A fairly average flu season…that from North Island Medical Health Officer Doctor Charmaine Enns as the season comes to a close.

Doctor Enns says there could still be a few scattered cases of the virus.

Doctor Enns says the flu bug drifted or mutated mid-season, and so the virus did not match up with the earlier vaccinations.

Doctor Enns says normally the flu season comes to an end at the end of this month.
