CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – A free cancer support workshop is coming to Campbell River on February 27th.

The workshop will be hosted by InspireHealth, a supportive cancer care non-profit organization. They provide support to individuals dealing with cancer and their families.

The workshop will be led by a medical doctor and a registered dietitian, and they will discuss well-being and how patients and their families can support their health. According to Rachel Mark, InspireHealth’s Vancouver Island clinical director, said the workshop will also offer tips on how family members can maintain patients’ quality of life.

“The workshop will talk about immune system support, exercise, and of course whole food nutrition with our dietitian, emotional support – all those different aspects,” Mark said.

The workshop will be held at the Berwick by the Sea retirement centre on February 27th, and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
