Busy season ahead for Search and Rescue

Campbell River Search and Rescue’s expecting a busy season.

That’s according to Manager Grant Cromer.

On Sunday, crews rescued a 63-year-old man from Ripple Rock Trail.

Cromer forecasts a busy season for the Search and Rescue unit, and weighs in on how it compares to last year.

During Sunday’s rescue, search and rescue crews worked with BC Ambulance, the Coast Guard and called in a helicopter to complete the evacuation.

The man was flown out and transferred to BC Ambulance, and then brought to Campbell River hospital.
