CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Duplexes have been proposed for 2270 Dalton Road in Willow Point.
Council held a public hearing on the proposed construction of duplexes. Currently, the property is zoned for single family residential dwelling.
According to a release from the city, the applicant also applied to create a new parcel. If rezoning is approved, two duplexes could be built for a total of four dwellings.
All four units are intended for rental use.
The property is large enough to accommodate parking, as well as the construction of a new building.
A January 19th neighbourhood public meeting was held where seven residents attended a meeting to raise concerns about traffic, noise, building appearance, street lighting, property value, and road parking.
City council gave the first reading out of two on the proposed rezoning at the February 11th meeting.
