Funding for the Comox Valley Head Injury Society

The Comox Valley Head Injury Society has received some funding from the provincial government.

MLA Don McRae says over $44,000 will go towards a new program targeting young people dealing with brain injuries. He says the Society supports over 160 individuals and their families.

McRae says the organization applied for the funding earlier this year.

McRae says this announcement is part of $700,000 in funding from the Brain Injury Alliance to 14 organizations throughout British Columbia.

You can find the Comox Valley Head Injury Society at 102-254 Simms Street in Courtenay.
