Over two thousand homes along the South Island Highway in Campbell River were without power early this morning.
BC Hydro spokesperson Karla Louwers says there was a line down along the highway.
Louwers says crews worked to restore power to different clusters of homes and while they were out they replaced some older equipment in the area, so it took them a bit longer than expected to get power restored to everyone.
