Walmart home delivery available in Campbell River, Courtenay

Sometimes it’s difficult to set a time to get your grocery shopping done.

But now, groceries are just a click away.

Residents in Campbell River and Courtenay can now order their groceries online and have it delivered right at their door.

Walmart and Instacart announced late last week they’re expanding their partnership nationally. This means on-demand grocery delivery is now available at nearly 200 Walmart stores across the country.

The expansion is based on the success of a 17-store pilot in the GTA and Winnipeg.

Instacart’s on-demand delivery service will help bring Walmart’s variety of products to residents’ doors. This includes fresh produce, health and beauty products, household goods, pet food, and baby food among many other things.

Residents can order their groceries through the Instacart online storefront or through the Instacart mobile app. Select the city and the store, and then begin the order.

Residents can also schedule the delivery time, depending on what is convenient for them.

“Canadian families are busy. By introducing more online shopping options at Walmart, we’re helping make life easier and more convenient for them,” President and CEO of Walmart Canada Lee Tappenden said.

“Expanding our relationship with Instacart provides our customers with even more time-saving ways to shop at Walmart in their community.”

The service is now available to residents in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, and PEI.
