Campbell River says a new left turn arrow is being added for southbound traffic at the Dogwood Street-Hilchey Road intersection.
The arrow will improve safety by adding dedicated turning time for traffic.
The city’s director of operations, Drew Hadfield says it added the new addition because of the high amount of traffic in the area.
“Adding a left turn arrow provides a specific time for these turns, a much safer way for traffic to travel in that direction. This work is being done following a traffic review that confirmed the frequency of left turns at this intersection, said Hadfield.
Construction is expected to take place this Wednesday from 7:30am until 5:30pm.
Drivers may see minor traffic delays around the intersection during the installation.
