BC Ferries has advised multiple sailings have been cancelled for this morning and afternoon.
The Powell River Queen has cancelled the following sailings due to high winds:
- 10:00 am departing Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
- 10:30 am departing Campbell River
- 11:00 am departing Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
- 11:30 am departing Campbell River
- 12:00 pm departing Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
- 12:30 pm departing Campbell River
- 1:00 pm departing Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
- 1:30 pm departing Campbell River
- 2:00 pm departing Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
- 2:30 pm departing Campbell River
- 3:00 pm departing Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
- 3:30 pm departing Campbell River
“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us,” BC Ferries says. “We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so.”
