The winter storm warning has ended in Courtenay and Campbell River.

It was lifted at 9:02am.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for rain to end near noon, followed by a mix of sun and cloud with 40 percent chance of rain showers or flurries.

It’s expected to stay steady at around three degrees Celsius tomorrow before a pretty significant warm-up begins on the weekend.

Expect showers and temperatures reaching 9 degrees on Saturday and seven degrees on Sunday.
