Two Campbell River Storm players heading to VIJHL All-Star game

Two Campbell River Storm players will be heading to the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League All-Star game this weekend.

Josh Pederson and Kyle Jennings will be suiting up to represent the team on the mainland.

The game will put the top voted players from both the VIJHL and the Pacific Junior Hockey League against each other in a fun environment.

Brody Coulter of the Victoria Cougars will be the Head Coach for the VIJHL team and says he’s thrilled to be behind the bench.

“If the Prospects Game is any indication, this year’s format should make for a very exciting game. The league is sending over a very talented group. A lot of these guys are bitter rivals for 6 months of the year so it’s going to be fun to watch them compete together.”

This is the first time the two leagues will be facing each other in an All-Star format.

Pederson and Jennings are both currently in the top 20 for points leaders in the league, with 45 and 29 points respectively.

The 2020 VIJHL vs PJHL All-Star game takes place this Sunday at the Ladner Leisure Centre in Delta.
