Barricades in support of Wet’suwet’en removed from Highway 19

The barricades on Highway 19 are down.

The Campbell River RCMP confirmed this morning that the blockades in support of the Wet’suwet’en have been removed.

One was on Highway 19 southbound between Minto Road and Comox Valley Parkway.

The other was on Highway 19 northbound between Buckley Bay Road and Van West Logging Road 15 km south of Cumberland.

Last Thursday, the RCMP began enforcing a court injunction and arresting Wet’suwet’en protesters opposed to the Coastal GasLink project in northern B.C.

We will provide more details as they come.
