Disaster Recovery Session to provide important information for Campbell River businesses

Strathcona Regional District is inviting local businesses to its free Disaster Recovery Information Session.

It’s taking place on Mar. 9th from 5:30pm until 7:30pm at Campbell River’s Maritime Heritage Centre.

The session is aimed to provide important information on what businesses need to do before, during and after a major disaster to ensure a speedy recovery.

“Businesses are important members of our community, contributing to our economy and providing jobs, goods and services,” says Strathcona Regional District Chair Michele Babchuk. “They also have a critical role to play in our community’s recovery if a large-scale emergency occurs.”

Numerous presentations are on the schedule, including Emergency Planning for Businesses, Protecting Your Business, Insurance Industry Updates and Insurance Claims and Processes.

There will also be a presentation from RCMP Inspector Preston and Fire Chief Doherty.

The Disaster Recovery Information Session is in partnership with BC Hydro, Campbell River and District Chamber of Commerce, City of Campbell River, Campbell River Futures, Immigrant Welcome Centre, Volunteer Campbell River and Strathcona Regional District.
