Campbell River youth ready to shine at tomorrow’s Rotary Honours Concert

It’s showtime.

The annual Rotary Honours Concert returns to the Tidemark Theatre tomorrow.

Campbell River Rotary is organizing it all as a “gift to the community.”

Organizer Susie Moscovich says she created the concert to “promote and to let the community know the scope and depth of the arts we have in our community.”

It’s all to celebrate local youth bands, dancers, musicians, musical theatre performers and singers.

“We bill ourselves as the ‘best of the best’ because everyone on stage has won an award of some sort,” Moscovich says. “I want the community to realize the commitment of the parents, teachers, all these dance schools. I mean, it’s amazing what we have in our town.”

This year’s lineup includes performances from Studio North Dance, Solstice Studio, Kathy Mascia School of Dance, Amy Lelliott, Dance Xtreme, RainCoast School of Musical Theatre, Kate Choi, Kristy Miller and more.

The Rotary Honours Concert kicks off at 2:00pm and entry is at no charge.

It’s suggested you arrive at Tidemark’s box office early if you do not already have a ticket.
