Campbell River RCMP are holding their cards close to their chest, in the ongoing major investigation on the recent discovery of a body in a hotel on the South Island Highway.
RCMP Sergeant Troy Beauregard says a lot of RCMP resources have been dedicated to this police operation.
The victim, who is known to police, was earlier identified as 21-year-old Masi Qayumi of Surrey.
Police say this was NOT a random act and the public is not at risk.
