Campbell River RCMP looking for pellet gun shooter

The Campbell River RCMP has shared its crime of the week.

Between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on April 4th, someone shot a pellet gun towards a home on Fairway Drive.

It put a hole in a garage window, causing over $2000 in damage.

“It’s important to note that discharging a projectile east of the Inland Highway in Campbell River is illegal,” says Cst. Maury Tyre. “Even if it’s only a pellet gun, it’s still not allowed.”

The incident did not appear to be targeted, but rather a random act of mischief.

“There was also a significant risk to public safety as clearly the individual with the pellet gun was not a responsible individual,” Tyre adds.

If you know who the shooter is, get in touch with the Campbell River RCMP at (250) 286-6221.
