Now’s your chance to give the gift of life.

The Campbell River Community Centre is hosting a blood donor clinic from April 21st to 23rd.

City staff have been working to provide a safe space to give blood amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“One of the things that has been dropping in supply is blood to be able to react and treat those in critical need,” says Mayor Andy Adams. “We’re doing whatever we can to assist the blood donor clinic to replenish those supplies.”

Adams is thanking health care professionals who he says in terms of crisis “really are our true heroes.”

You must first make an appointment and meet all of the eligibility requirements prior to giving blood.

Scheduled appointments will encourage physical distancing and also help to minimize the number of people inside the clinic.
