Campbell River Food Bank gets $3,000 donation from Campbellton business

A local business is helping out Campbell River’s Food Bank in a big way.

Campbellton’s Econo Ezy Box Storage handed over $3,000 to the non-profit last week amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“With everything shut down and people not working, we wanted to contribute something to the food bank,” says owner Ted Arbour. “There’s people out there that need help.”

This isn’t the first time Arbour’s business has donated to the food bank though, as he says they’ve sent in funds “periodically” over the years.

“But, this is the most we’ve ever given,” Arbour adds.

He’s now encouraging you to donate as well, especially given the current circumstances.

“Not everyone is in a position to help them, but if they can it would be nice if they would do so.”

“We just got over the logger strike, that did enough damage,” Arbour says. “Then we went right smack dab up against COVID-19. There’s definitely people out there hurting.”
