Parking patrol is set to resume in downtown Campbell River next week.
In consultation with the Downtown Business Improvement Association, the city is re-introducing parking enforcement starting June 29th.
The city says as many stores and services closed down due to COVID-19, parking patrol was temporarily stopped.
It says enforcing parking time limits supports local businesses by ensuring parking spots are routinely available to customers.
As you may need more time to shop as businesses limit access due to physical distancing requirements, the city adds that it’s establishing a grace period of an extra half hour in addition to posted time limits.
