Comox Strathcona Waste Management is gearing up for Sayward Clean Up Days.
It’s scheduled for July 18th and 19th, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at 797 Island Highway.
This comes after April’s clean up was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Household waste that is too large for regular curbside collection, as well as recyclables that normally need to be taken to Campbell River, can be discarded during the two-day event.
You’re asked to come prepared to unload and sort your own items.
Accepted items include scrap metal, household furniture and electronics, appliances, car and truck tires off rims, and all battery types.
All product care items like paint thinners, old gasoline, lightbulbs, ballasts, and some pesticides are also accepted.
This year, staff from Campbell River’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore will be onsite to take some gently used household items back to their store.
