Gold River’s Muchalaht Marina and Boat Ramp to reopen Friday

Gold River’s Muchalaht Marina and Boat Ramp is reopening.

The Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation announced that access will be limited to B.C. residents only starting June 26th.

As things get back up and running, the First Nation says it’s excited to open the marina’s new secure parking lot. It says that work on its new RV campsite and Welcome House will continue over the next few months.

Visitors are asked to practice safe physical distancing and frequently wash and sanitize hands.

If you’re showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19, you’re asked to stay home, as the First Nation says that “the community here is small and doesn’t have the resources or ability to handle a coronavirus outbreak.”

Payment for services will only be accepted via debit or credit at this time, with season passes available soon.
