Road rage caught on camera in Campbell River leads to charges

The RCMP has laid charges after some road rage was caught on camera in downtown Campbell River.

On July 30th at around 3:50pm, Cst. Maury Tyre says two SUVs were involved in a side by side crash “straight out of an action movie.”

Tyre says officers had already been called to the scene by one of the drivers involved, but thanks to a video posted online, “police were able to locate the second vehicle and lay Motor Vehicle Act charges.”

The RCMP is now reminding drivers to exercise patience when behind the wheel, as Tyre adds “so often a little extra hurry ends in a very expensive incident.”
