Machinery and construction work on tap at Quathiaski Cove Lay-By Berth

Expect noise mid-week, if you live near Quathiaski Cove on Quadra Island.

BC Ferries is doing a site investigation at the proposed new ferry lay-by berth at 733 Pidcock Road, at Quathiaski Cove tomorrow (Aug. 12) and Thursday.

This two-day work period includes the use of a backhoe at the project site.

Residents living in the adjacent area may hear construction noise, but efforts will be made to keep the noise down, and all work is scheduled during the daytime.

Considering the current COVID 19 situation and to minimize the risks to Quadra residents, the work plan will limit all activities to the project site and crew members will stay overnight in Campbell River instead of Quadra Island.

BC Ferries is thanking the neighbours for their patience and understanding.
