Protests in the Comox Valley and Campbell River as the teachers strike and lock out continues

A crowd of roughly 150 Campbell River and Comox Valley teachers, and those supporting their job action, descended upon the office of Comox Valley MLA Don McRae Tuesday.

River news was there, and spoke with protesters.

Minister Don McRae did show up to meet with protesters, although there were no real questions asked just slogans changed.

Meanwhile in Campbell River Wednesday morning some students at Ecole Phoenix participated in the province wide student walk out. Some held signs asking for education as drivers honked in support.

The walkout was spearheaded by a lower mainland student who wants to bring attention to the idea that students feel trapped in the middle of the labor dispute between teachers and the government.
