RCMP investigating nighttime hit-and-run in Campbell River

A nighttime pedestrian hit-and-run in Campbell River has police searching for answers.

The RCMP is looking for witnesses after a man was hit by a small grey car, around 10:30 Tuesday night near École Phoenix Middle School and the old Jolly Giant store.

The man was crossing the intersection at 7th Avenue and Cedar Street with his dog before he was hit by the car.

He managed to pull his dog out of the way, but sustained a concussion and injuries to his legs.

Police are now seeking information from anyone who witnessed the accident, or knows who may be responsible.
